The old fiddle and mandolin made an appearance last night at The Mill in Abilene! I played with friend and co-teacher Matt Ellis, who owns Mellis Music Studio where I teach. We are often accused of being brothers because our last names are relatively the same. He is Ellis and I am Ellison, which unfortunately makes Matt my father, I guess!
Either way, we brought the thunder last night playing songs from all over the genre spectrum. It is always fun and challenging to play with Matt because you never know when he will be jamming in the key of C, and the all of the sudden yell "C sharp!!!" and transition to a devil key!
